Terms of service
Last updated: October 14, 2026
These terms govern your use of Bookify (bookify.it and app.bookify.it). By creating an account or buying credits you accept them. If you buy as a consumer, nothing in these terms limits the rights you have under the consumer law of your country.
1. Who we are
Bookify is run by SOFTWARY S.R.L., an Italian limited liability company, Via Giovanni Porzio F11, 80143 Napoli (NA), Italy, VAT IT10580571213. You can reach us at support@bookify.it.
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders: it is the seller on your receipt, handles payment, taxes and invoices, and also handles customer service inquiries about payments and returns.
2. What Bookify does
Bookify writes non-fiction books with the help of artificial intelligence. From a sentence and any material you add, it proposes outlines, researches the topic on the web, writes the chapters, reviews the whole manuscript and exports it as PDF, EPUB, DOCX and Markdown.
Bookify is a writing tool. The books are drafts produced by AI models: they can contain mistakes, outdated information or claims that need checking, even when they cite sources. You are responsible for reading, checking and editing a book before you publish or use it. Books on health, money, law or psychology carry a disclaimer and are not professional advice.
Bookify does not write fiction and refuses topics that are illegal, hateful, sexual involving minors, or designed to deceive or harm people.
3. Your account
You need an account with a verified email address, or Google sign-in. Keep your access safe: what happens in your account is your responsibility. You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live.
You can delete your account at any time from the account page. Deletion removes your books and materials; we keep only what the law requires (see the privacy policy).
4. Credits and prices
- Bookify is paid with credits. One credit writes 10,000 words. The price of a book is the sum of the words of the outline you choose, shown before you press Write. Rewrites of a paragraph or chapter also use words, and each book includes three free chapter rewrites.
- After you verify your email you receive one free credit, once per person.
- Packs (1, 3 or 10 credits) are one-off purchases. Pack credits do not expire.
- The subscription adds 25 credits every month and renews until you cancel. At each renewal, subscription credits above a carry-over of 50 credits expire; pack credits never do. You can cancel from the account page; the subscription stays active until the end of the paid period.
- Prices are shown on the pricing page. The final price, with the taxes of your country, is shown at checkout by Paddle.
- Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred and are not refundable except as described in the refund policy.
5. Right of withdrawal (EU and UK consumers)
Credits are digital content supplied immediately. At checkout you ask for the credits to be available right away and acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal on the credits you use. You keep it for unused credits for 14 days after the purchase: see the refund policy.
6. If writing fails
If a book cannot be completed, the credits charged for it come back to your balance automatically. The chapters already written are kept and you can resume from where it stopped. If a finished book is more than 10% shorter than the words you paid for, the difference comes back to your balance.
7. Your content and your books
- Your input. You keep all rights to the sentences, materials and edits you provide. You confirm that you have the right to use any material you upload and that it does not infringe anyone’s rights or contain personal data you are not allowed to share.
- Your books. As far as we are concerned, the books generated for you are yours: you may use, edit, publish and sell them. Whether a text produced with AI is protected by copyright can depend on your own creative contribution and on the law of your country; we make no promise about it.
- What we may do. You give us the permission needed to store and process your input and books in order to provide the service: generating, saving, exporting and supporting you. We do not publish your books and we do not use them to train AI models.
- Publishing. When you publish a book you are responsible for its content and for following the rules of the place where you publish it, including platform rules (for example Amazon KDP’s AI disclosure) and any obligation to disclose the use of AI. Exports can include an AI-assistance note.
8. Acceptable use
Do not use Bookify to: break the law; infringe intellectual property; produce content that is defamatory, hateful, harassing or sexually explicit; impersonate people; create spam or mass-produce low-quality titles for marketplaces; attempt to bypass limits, resell the service or access it by automated means. We may refuse requests, suspend free actions, or close accounts that break these rules, refunding unused paid credits where the law requires it.
9. Availability and changes
We work to keep Bookify available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service: writing can be delayed by queues or by our providers. We may change or improve features. If a change reduces what you have already paid for, we will tell you by email in advance and you may ask for a refund of the unused credits affected.
We may update these terms. We will publish the new version here and, for important changes, email you before they apply.
10. Liability
We provide Bookify with care, but books are generated by AI and may contain errors. To the extent permitted by law, SOFTWARY S.R.L. is not liable for indirect damages, lost profits, or damages arising from the content of the books you publish. For business customers, our total liability is limited to the amounts paid in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing limits liability for intent, gross negligence, or where the law does not allow it.
11. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by Italian law. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live and can go to the courts of your place of residence. For business customers, the court of Napoli has exclusive jurisdiction. EU consumers can also use the Online Dispute Resolution platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
